The Run
Day 1 consists of a Full route – 21 Km or Half route – 10 km trail run.
Day 2 consists of a Full route – 15km or a Half route – 7km trail run.
With a variety of terrain ranging from Grassland to Riverbed, this adventurous trail run through Big Five reserve is sure to keep you on your toes. There will be water and goodie tables on-route to keep you fuelled during your run.
The Campground
If you have elected to camp, you have the option of bringing your own camping gear or hiring a Dome tent and stretcher from us. Please keep in mind that the race village is specifically set up for the Absa Rhino Run. There are hot showers and toilet facilities within the campgrounds.
We will provide charging stations for cell phones, however please note there are no plug points available within the campsite.
We aim to limit disturbance to the wildlife during the event and therefore please note that no music will be permitted within the camp ground.

Rhino Sands

Rhino River Lodge
Rhino River Lodge : Family friendly, Big 5 safari lodge situated on the banks of the Msunduze River in the south of the reserve, offering an intimate and comfortable safari experience, with excellent game viewing and luxury accommodation. Sleeps 20.
Leopard Mountain Lodge
This multi-award-winning, 5 Star, Family-Run Safari Lodge offers spectacular views, luxurious suites with private plunge pools and an Africology Spa. Sleeps 18.
African Spirit Game Lodge
Calling all photo enthusiasts and bush lovers, African Spirit Game Lodge will accommodate you in luxurious African style.

Sensiri Plains Safari Lodge
Escape ordinary life and let Africa capture your heart. Enjoy our exclusive use lodge and share an intimate experience with a group of friends or family at our self-catering lodge. Sleeps 10.
Zebra Hills Safari Lodge
Our lodge is available for hire on a self-catering basis and boasts facilities include air-conditioning, bomas, floodlit waterhole, swimming pool, jungle gym and friendly staff for game drives and cooking. Sleeps 23..
Buffalo Hill Safari Lodge
Our luxury double-storey African home in the bush is made up of 5 open-plan double or twin rooms to suit your needs. Dining area with coffee station, lounging area to relax in the cool evening, 2 bomas to absorb the warmth of a fire under a blanket of stars. Sleeps 10.
Your ticket price includes catering, conservation levies and a goodie bag. A cash bar and various merchandise will be available, and you can pay by card or cash. Please note that there are no ATM facilities.
