We contacted Buzi Cash and Carry, and they immediately were keen to get involved and assist us with food security in the community. We put together a food parcel worth R300 that would help sustain a family for a month;
- 5kg maize meal
- 5kg rice
- 5kg sugar beans
- 750ml cooking oil
- 5 x packets soya mince
- 2 tins of pilchard’s fish
Buzi Cash and Carry discounted the items for ZCT and offered to give us 10 free food parcels for every 50 we bought, as well as strong durable bags to put the food into – fantastic!
Gaining momentum; Qualchem came to the party and donated us stock of hand sanitisers to include in each food parcel. And then we partnered with Nkombe-Rhino and Project Rhino and received stock of 5kg instant maize porridge packs to add to our food parcels – each 5kg bag contains 100 meals. The movement is growing and reserves across South Africa are looking after their communities and contributing towards; Feeding the Wildlife Community.
